Pleasanton police are searching for a man in his 20's who brandished a gun and robbed a Pak Mail store Monday morning.

Just before 9 a.m. Monday, an employee of the Pak Mail store at 5524 Springdale Ave. was standing behind the store when the suspect drove up in a silver newer-model Lexus sport utility vehicle with silver taillights. The suspect then asked the employee for a box, and to use the restroom, according to police.

After using the restroom the suspect pulled a small black handgun from his waistband and demanded money, police reported. The employee placed money from the cash register in a plastic bag and the suspect fled out the back door of the store.

The suspect is described as an Asian man around 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds with a thin mustache and acne scars on his face.

He was last seen wearing a black knit beanie with a bill, a red tee shirt and sweatpants and black tennis shoes.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Pleasanton Police Department at (925) 931-5100.

I have to agree with the resident who states his other car was BART. Seems as if we all knew what BART would do to our community once it was established. Easier cccess for all! But I will keep my eye out.
