Livermore mother remains held on sex charges involving underage boys
Next court appearance set for Sept. 3

Bookmark and Share
A Livermore woman accused of 67 counts of sexual assault will remain in Santa Rita Jail until Sept. 3.

Attorneys for both sides agreed to the continuation of the case involving Christine Shreeve Hubbs, 42, who is being held on a $4.3 million bond.

Hubbs's attorney, Jules Bonjour, said his office was awaiting discovery evidence from the prosecutor's office. Bonjour would not comment on the case and prosecutor Teresa Ortega could not be reached.

Judge Hugh Walker, who is presiding in the case, agreed to the request. Walker also ordered four search warrants sealed.

Hubbs, a Livermore mother and wife of a dentist, is accused of sexual assaults on two boys which police said began in December 2008 and continued until her arrest, police said.

She began making advances on one of the boys when he was 14 and dating her daughter, also 14, officials said.

The charges include counts of oral copulation, lewd acts on a child, and exhibition of lewd material to a minor.

Hubbs allegedly sent messages and nude pictures of herself to the boys from her cell phone. After contacting the victims, she would then allegedly drive them in her black 2006 Hummer H2 to different locations in Livermore and have sex with them, police said.

She also faces charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor; police allege she let a group of boys shoot a plastic pellet gun from her car, Livermore police Lt. Matt Sarsfield said.

Court records show Hubbs drove boys, ages 9-14 around Livermore on June 29, hitting speeds of up to 60 mph. The boys shot Airsoft guns -- purchased for them by Hubbs -- and hit a youngster on a bicycle, according to court records, which also say Hubbs did nothing to stop them.

That information came to police attention while investigating the alleged sexual assaults by Hubbs. No one was seriously injured by the plastic pellets, and Sarsfield said none of the boys in the car has come forward as a victim in the sexual assault case.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, shooting airsoft guns out of a moving vehicle is totally illegal. I guess I would expect such reckless behavior from a woman who has sex with 14 year old boys.

I didn't even know what an Airsoft gun was until this story came out. I had never heard of one. I know what a BB gun is, and I know what a paintball gun is, but Airsoft was new to me. Learn something new every day I suppose.

And yeah, how weird is it that an adult woman drives boys around while they shoot guns out the window of her SUV? After that, then she goes and park somewhere to do oral copulation? This is such a strange story. I guess sometimes we just can't make this stuff up!

maybe she's a flake?

maybe she's a flake? maybe she needed more attention from her husband! mormons are known for having multiple wives and she was likely seeking more attention ... although 14-year-olds hardly qualify as "real men."

"she was likely seeking more attention"

Likely true, whether it was a need for attention from the husband or from just the general population. Anyone driving around in a souped-up Hummer who is not using it in a sanctioned military function is most likely undergoing quite a case of "LOOK AT ME!!!"

Word is there are a loot of affluent folks in Livermore "supporting" this woman, as if she were innocent? Seem like a pretty solid and serious case against her. Sounds Like community denial.

i see nothing wrong with Sister Hubbs and her innocent, harmless antics. I think the elders have a right to defend our fine sister. After all, our prophets, Joseph and Brigham, had hundreds of partners. Sister Hubbs is just taking the doctrine straight from the masters. They had a slew of 14 year olds that they flowered, why can't sister Hubbs do the same. You Liberals have double standards. I am going to sell my "Mona Vie" kool-aid for half price this week with all of the proceeds to help our poor sister Christine.
