I ride motorcycles and hate these stories. Car/truck making left hand turn in front of oncoming motorcycle, motorcycle loses. As a motorcyclist we must take our safety into our own hands and in a way blaim ourselves for every accident, knowing that our life is on the line. Some accidents are tough to avoid though and I hope the motorcyclist heals up and the truck driver has good insurrance and drives safer from now on.

The number one cause of motorcycle fatalities is cars pulling out or turning in front of motorcycles which have the right of way. Get well soon, keep the lights on and the shiny side up! A fellow traveler

Whats up Bro!?! Solider on kid. Ull be alright and ull be home in no time! Just be nice to the cute little nurses coming in to check on you. Ur lunch was amazing btw. Think I might kick my feet up and take a nap on the bed next to you. Yup....HIGH FIVE!!!

As the mother of the young man hit by the pickup truck on wednesday I just want to thank all the well wishers and their comments as well as those people who assisted Blake at the accident scene. Thank you to all the friends and relatives that visit each day with a special thanks to all his ROTC Army buddies and personnel. Your constant support is inspiring and GREATLY appreciated. Although Blake's injuries may not be "life threatening" a broken femur requiring 4 hours of surgery and over a years worth of recovery is nothing to take lightly. The pain and suffering he is experiencing brings tears your eyes. Not to mention the huge inconvenience it places on our lives. This accident should never have happened. And I urge every driver out there to pay closer attention when behind the wheel. I also urge the city of Pleasanton to take a better look at that intersection and consider ways to make it safer.
