Another Marine comes home from Iraq

| When it comes to Pleasanton military families, probably none is more committed in terms of numbers than Jenetha and Don Partridge, whose youngest son, Marine Lance Cpl. Christopher Partridge, 20, was just welcomed home from service in Iraq.
A 2007 graduate of Foothill High School, Partridge was actually serving in Iraq for a time with his two older brothers, Marine 1st Lt. Dustin Partridge, 27, and Jenetha's oldest son, Capt. Matthew Weaver, 29, a Marine CH-53 helicopter pilot.
About 75 from veterans' organizations, friends and neighbors turned out for the early evening ceremony in front of the Partridges' Ginger Court home off Muirwood Drive, an event organized by the Pleasanton Military Families Support Group.
Doug Miller, post commander of the VFW's Pleasanton Post 6298 led the welcome home festivities, introducing city and civic officials and a representative from the local office of Congressman Jerry McNerney (D-Pleasanton). City Councilman Jerry Thorne presented Partridge with a letter of commendation for his service "for our community and the nation."--Jeb Bing
