The Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation is granting funds to Tri-Valley cancer patients to use toward complementary therapies, including acupuncture, acupressure, therapeutic massage, guided/visual imagery, and/or deep breathing meditation. The Foundation is now accepting applications and can fund up to $1,000 per patient. To be eligible for a grant, the applicant must be diagnosed with cancer; be under the care of a physician; be receiving chemotherapy or radiation treatment; reside in Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon or Danville; and may not have medical insurance which covers the complementary service they desire. Apply at www.healingtherapiesfoundation.org or call 866-862-7270.

What a fantastic Service to our communities. I missed an amazing Fundraising Event by Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation at Deer Ridge Vineyards earlier this year. Such a worthy cause I hope to see other Fundraising Events noted on the Pleasanton Weekly online that benefit our communities.

Thanks Sandra.

The Sandra J Wing Healing Therapies Foundation will be making a huge difference in the lives of those afflicated with cancer. A similiar foundation on the peninsula made a huge difference in my sister's life after she was diagnosed at age 46 with Metastatic Breast cancer last August '08. The healing therapies are typically not covered by insurance and when you are worried about how far your money will spread and also worried about keeping up with your job, this help is priceless. I personally will be supporting this endeavor!!!

Great service to help cancer patients. Hopefully this will be advertised at all Alameda and Contra Costa County radiation and chemotherapy centers (since some residents travel out of their immediate towns to get their cancer treatments). Wish my dad could have taken advantage of this during his treatment in April.
