The Lady Falcons varsity soccer team has added another notch in their belts in the win category after shutting out Granada High 3-0 Wednesday night in Livermore.
The first goal was made by Olivia Klei, off a corner kick by Sophie Metz. They would score one more goal, by Ashley Amos, before the half. With defense holding up strong against the Matadors, Alesha Blair added insurance with the third and final goal.
The win makes Foothill's record an impressive 16-0-0, 11-0-0 in East Bay Athletic League play. For the past three weeks, the team has been ranked No. 1 in ESPN's Fab 50 Rise and it appears they will secure their placement for some time. They've outscored opponents an unprecedented 62-3, with 13 shutouts.
The girls will play San Ramon Valley High at 6 p.m. Friday at home. Catch many of the team's players tonight at the Pleasanton Rage letters of intent signing.
Joining the 12 Foothill High School senior girls signing scholarship letters of intent are nine other graduating seniors at 7 p.m. at the Pleasanton Marriott, 11950 Dublin Canyon Road.
Since 2001, Rage has had 133 graduates sign letters of intent to play for national colleges and universities.

Posted by BUSC..hmmm, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood neighborhood, on Feb 6, 2009 at 10:24 am I know the RAGE girls have set a mighty high standard of excellence on the soccer fields as youth and college players, and congratulations to the Club and this group of players. Does the Ballistic Club still have a competitive division or are they merely a Rec Club these days? Do they still send players to play in colleges? Haven't seen any in a couple of years come out of the club.

Posted by Ghetto Resident, a resident of the Valley Trails neighborhood, on Feb 6, 2009 at 10:45 am I thought this article was about Foothill High School, why the comment about BUSC? Although I hope that BUSC does pick it up a bit, I have a young boy going through the program!
