 | Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-Dublin) will host his first town hall meeting in Pleasanton at 10 a.m. this morning at Harvest Park Middle School.
Today's Town Hall will provide constituents the opportunity to discuss issues and services impacting the district, from creating jobs and growing its economy to reforming the country's immigration system. He will take questions from constituents in the audience and also answer questions posed previously over Twitter and Facebook.
Pleasanton Mayor Jerry Thorne will join the congressman at the event.
Swalwell, who was a Dublin City Councilman at the time, was elected last November to serve the the newly-aligned 15th Congressional District. Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.

Posted by Ben Johansen, a resident of the Birdland neighborhood, on Mar 1, 2013 at 9:40 am Swalwell is basically another politician liar. He campaigned on being middle of the road and yet he already has fallen right in line with the hard core left. They have him pushing the gun control legislation, thereby controlling him from the outset. He is in way over his head. I've seen him at 3 functions since he took office...you should see the dregs of our local politicians fawning over him trying to schmooze him for local money, etc...nothing has changed....

Posted by Jack, a resident of the Vineyard Avenue neighborhood, on Mar 2, 2013 at 10:49 am I glad we have a representative who advocates a strong, active federal government. It was the actions of the United States Treasury, combined with those of the Federal Reserve, and congress' American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that kept the country from falling into a deep depression that would have hit the poorest and the weakest among us the hardest. It was also Henry Paulson's quick and decisive actions at the Treasury that kept out financial institutions solvent at the most desperate times.
We're lucky to have a man like Swalwell representing us.
