New nightclub goes before Pleasanton Planning Commission tonight

| The Pleasanton Planning Commission tonight will consider granting a conditional use permit for a new restaurants, bar and night club in the Gateway Shopping Center on Hopyard Road to replace the troubled NEO dance club that had its permit revoked. The new restaurant and club, to be called Coconuts Beach Bar and Seafood Grill wold occupy 10,746 square feet and would be open from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week. The Planning Commission meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers in the Pleasanton Civic Center, 200 Old Bernal Ave. Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? No doubt it will also result in a few more robberies and muggins as well.
