Chinese New Year celebration at Pleasanton Library Sunday

In celebration of the Chinese New Year, Xiaopei Chinese Dance will perform traditional Chinese music and dance at the Pleasanton Public Library from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10. The program will showcase a variety of solo, duet and group performances. It will also feature music performed on an ensemble of traditional Chinese instruments.
Under the direction of renowned dancer and director Xiaopei He Gelb, Xiaopei Chinese Dance provides professional and authentic Chinese classic, folk, and ethnic minority dance classes and programs that showcase and promote Chinese culture. With studios in Pleasanton and San Jose, their mission is to develop and train talented, strong, graceful, and confident students and dancers. This program will be held in the library's meeting room at 400 Old Bernal Ave. The program is free and is suited to all ages.
