Brown to introduce his 2013-14 state budget at 10 a.m. today

Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. will introduce his 2013-14 budget proposal at a news conference at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sacramento. The announcement will be made in the Governor's press conference room at the State Capitol.

Oh, goodie! We will get to see where that Prop 30 money that was supposed to go to schools is really going to go. Early signs are that was all a ruse. The only part going to schools is for revising standardized testing and teacher evaluations (better they have legislator, school administrator, and parent evaluations). Much of the rest is going to the state general fund (surprise!), the tunnels to divert more water to Southern California, and to help pay for the boondoggle, gift-to-the-unions and payola-seeking-legislators, bullet train to nowhere. OK, Californians, how does it feel to be given the shaft (again)?
