| The city of Pleasanton is providing sandbags free of charge to local residents and businesses to use in case of heavy rain in the coming weeks. Residents can pick up free sandbags at the city's Service Center at 3333 Busch Road. The sandbags can be picked up at anytime, and are located in the parking lot under a brown tarp. The sandbags are for Pleasanton residents only and are not available to contractors seeking sandbags for work sites. Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? Posted by GP, a resident of the Del Prado neighborhood, on Nov 21, 2012 at 7:08 pm This updated posting is not accurate. Not only is the city providing sand bags, but it is also additionally providing sand. Bags are prefilled/sealed and lightweight (for sandbags, approx. 25 lbs.) so most anybody can lift them. They are located in an unsecured front parking lot for anytime access as indicated. Thank you Ptown.
