A newly formed Livermore police unit led an arrest of six people Thursday at a home that is part of an ongoing drug investigation, Livermore police said.
A narcotics-related search warrant was served at 1068 Coronado Way at 7:10 a.m. with officers from the Police Department's special operations unit and SWAT team members, police said.
Six people were taken into custody on charges ranging from drug offenses to resisting arrest.
Because of the ongoing nature of the incident police are not releasing any suspect information other than two of the arrestees are suspected Norteno gang members.
Two firearms were also found at the home, police said.
The special operations unit was established just over a month ago and works narcotics and gang-related issues.Sasha Lekach, Bay City News — Bay City News Service Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.

Posted by Mike, a resident of the Highland Oaks neighborhood, on Sep 15, 2012 at 4:32 pm I assume the RA charge is a side-dish because being arrested for resisting arrest would be a hard one to get past, logically, I mean.
Based on our recent experience with "drug units" in San Ramon, let's go ahead and keep a close eye on the CoC for that evidence, shall we?
