Love the downtown events - but whatever you do, don't close down town access to the downtown part of Pleasanton. Allow traffic south on Santa Rita to access Peters Ave via St. Johns St. and vice versa. IN OTHER WORDS DON'T CLOSE THE DOWNTOWN AREA TO ACCESS EVEN THOUGH YOU CLOSE SIGNIFICANT PORTIONS OF MAIN STREET. Please allow access to downtown Pleasanton via Peters Avenue. - - This allows Pleasanton citizens to traffic local eateries and events without detouring needlessly to Hopyard resulting in defections to Dublin and Livermore for their eateries during the closure of downtown Pleasanton. LEAVE ACCESS TO PETERS AVE OPEN!

I agree with Bob. I thought that when Peters was built that the idea was to keep it open for access to the downtown area and make it easier for people to get to their banks and businesses. If I had a business downtown I would be angry that my customers had to work so hard to get there. I have noticed this year there have been a lot more days when Main st. is closed .
