Somber mood in Bay Area as 49ers lose to Baltimore in Super Bowl 34-31
San Francisco 49ers No. 52 Patrick Willis and No.90 Isaac Sopoaga shown with teammates. The 49ers lost the Super Bowl game 34-31 in a game against the Baltimore Ravens that saw a power outage that stopped the game for 34 minutes as the second half began. It was also the the first Super Bowl to be played in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina and also the first where brothers competed against each other as coaches.
