Services today for Kaitlyn Mary Oefelein, 20

Mass at Saint Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church

Services will be held starting at 10 a.m. today at Saint Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church for Kaitlyn Mary Oefelein, daughter of Lisa and Joseph Oefelein and a 2012 graduate of Amador Valley High School, who died June 17. She was 20 years old.

The church is located at 4001 Stoneridge Drive in Pleasanton.

Kaitlyn's mother, Lisa is a longtime staff member of the Pleasanton Weekly, where she is in charge of accounts, billings and finances.

Kaitlyn was born in State College, Penn., on June 2, 1994. She was currently a student at Las Positas College and also was an employee of Safeway at the Santa Rita Road supermarket in Pleasanton.

Those who knew her always commented on her sparkling personality. She touched the lives of many people with gentle kindness, compassion, and a beautiful smile.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her brother, Andrew Oefelein of Pleasanton and an extended family of friends and relatives with whom she was very close and loved very much.

Memorial donations may be made to the Valley Humane Society, 3670 Nevada St, Pleasanton, CA 94566, where Kaitlyn spent many hours as a volunteer loving and caring for the animals.

The two dates on the article are confusing.. is the memorial tomorrow, 6/25 or was it yesterday?
