Here are the picks for today's start of horse racing at the Alameda County Fair.

1. This Captains Klas...Has the best recent form here. Just Snow...Has won three of six over track. Lets Fight...Drops from Los Al races.

2. High and Special...Hit board here last year. Kishmia...Good move over track to prep. Remarkable Cartel...Past class better than the rest.

3. Rambunchkie...Might get loose on the front end. Chat With Dixie...Has run well vs. better. Mt Aunt Annie...Beaten twice by the No. 1.

4. Dream of Daisy...Will have pace to run at Halo La...Shows speed, Baze takes the call. Promiscuoussuances...Horse has seen better days, has speed.

5. Pulpit Hanna...Works, connections say ready. Urgraceisenough...Expect big improvement off debut. Rock Your Baby...Price play, been working over track.

6. Runninforbackpay...Closer, will have pace to run at. Wine and Song...Speed, caught and nosed in last. Unmatched Force...Has a lot of speed.

7. Perfect Meeting...Solid works over track coming off break. Giant Journey...Bullet work followed by maintenance drill. Sneezy Beezy...Should be a great spot.

8. Unbridled Falls...Big drop, looks ready for return. Red Terrace...Working over track, gets Baze. Spot N the Line...Decent effort, had trouble in debut.
