Health fair at New Leaf Markets this weekend

Health practitioners, chefs, food purveyors on hand for consultations, demonstrations.

The annual health fair at New Leaf Community Markets today and tomorrow will feature a wide variety of educational opportunities.

The fair, which runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days, will include local health practitioners, chefs and food purveyors offering both consultations and demonstrations.

Vitamin, supplement and body care vendors will also be on hand answering questions and giving out free product samples. In addition, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., New Leaf will offer 20% off on all vitamins, supplements and body care products.

New Leaf representatives said the event will provide the public an opportunity to learn about products people use every day for health, inside and out. Topics include gluten-free diets, plant-based diets, healthy gut, juicing, and how to make a probiotic drink, Beet Kvass, which promotes healthy digestive and immune systems. Raffles and free samplings will take place both days.
