The seminar will present information on how seniors can protect themselves from scams perpetrated against seniors. Experts will discuss how seniors can protect themselves against fraud in home repair, insurance, finances and more.
"As active and important members of our families and local communities, senior citizens deserve to be honored and respected, so it is vital that they are offered the necessary tools to ensure that their personal safety, home and other hard earned assets are protected," Corbett said.
Even though this event is focused on seniors, anyone interested in becoming more educated on how to prevent fraud and scams is welcome to attend.
The free event is being co-hosted by the California Contractors State License Board.
The Senior Center is located at 5353 Sunol Boulevard.
