Public Storage in the 2500 block of Santa Rita Road was held up late Monday morning by a "homeless-type person," Pleasanton police reported.
The robbery took place at about 10:55 a.m., according to the release.
"The suspect entered the business and told the employee to give him what he wanted and he would not hurt her. The employee complied and surrendered her keys and wallet," the release said. No weapon was displayed and the employee was not injured.
The suspect left on foot and was last seen running toward the Iron Horse Trail behind the business. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The robber is described as a white male adult in his 20s with blonde hair, 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing between 145 and 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a baggy black hooded sweatshirt and baggy pants, with a beanie-style hat pulled over his face.
