Mix networking for business and fun with friends, add some expos and prizes, and you have GNON - Girls Night Out Networking. The networking group / night out with the girlfriends was launched five years ago by Pleasanton resident Frances Hewitt, owner of FHI Marketing Consultants, and has grown into four chapters with more than 1,200 members in just five years.
More than 135 members representing the four chapters of GNON celebrated the 5th anniversary at Girasolle Grill Restaurant in Pleasanton June 4.
The hometown chapter, the Tri Valley, is comprised of women from Pleasanton, Livermore, Sunol, Dublin, San Ramon and surrounding areas. The second chapter, the Diablo Valley Chapter, just celebrated its first anniversary and caters to women from Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Pleasant Hill, Concord, Martinez, Danville and Benicia areas. The South Bay Chapter, which will celebrate its one year anniversary in September, welcomes women from the Milpitas, Fremont and North San Jose areas.
