High school students can learn about participating in the Pleasanton/Tulancingo Sister City Association Youth Cultural Exchange Program at 7 p.m. tonight at Foothill High School.
Teens and their parents are invited to attend the evening informational sessions to be held in the school's library.
The cultural exchange is an enriching experience for students and their families, which can apply as community service requirements in most instances. It is also an excellent experience to enhance any college entrance portfolio.
To participate in the program, a student needs to be entering his or her sophomore to senior year in high school in the fall and have completed a second year of Spanish by the end of this school year.
The application and selection process will be explained at the meeting. More information about the exchange program can be found on Pleasanton Tulancingo Sister City Association's website at ptsca.org. Those with questions or who would like to recommend a student can also send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call Rita Galvin at 925 249-1885.
