The Pleasanton School District has worked out a tentative agreement with its teachers union for the 2012-13 school year and will hold a public hearing on the agreement tonight.
Many of the items in the cut list are apparently already included in the agreement between the district and the Association of Pleasanton Teachers for the current year, including holding evaluations every five years for teachers with 10 or more years on the job.
The agreement also would also increase the number of personal necessity days to eight.
Immediately following the public hearing and vote by the board, it will vote on staff cuts for teachers. Those teachers were notified that their positions could be cut in March, but a final list of cuts has to be approved by May 15.
The board will meet at 7 p.m. in the district's board room, 4665 Bernal Avenue, immediately following a 5 p.m. closed session.
