An injury crash is blocking two lanes on westbound Interstate 580 in Pleasanton, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The crash was reported shortly after 3:05 p.m. on westbound I-580 just west of Fallon Road.

At least two vehicles were involved in the crash, which injured at least one person, CHP Officer Eric Anderson said. He did not know the extent of the victim's injuries.

The crash was blocking the two left lanes of westbound I-580 in the area as of 3:25 p.m., Anderson said. He said there is no estimate yet for when the lanes will reopen.

I was at school yesterday, at Harvest Park Middle School, and I was walking to science when I saw a paramedics car and a fire truck right in front of the school. So I asked a fellow classmate of mine what had happened. All he said was that someone got seriously injured and had to be put in a wheel chair. Does anyone know what actually happened and to whom? Thanks. :)
