The public is invited to spend an evening with President Theodore Roosevelt at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the Firehouse Arts Center, 4444 Railroad Ave. Roosevelt's achievements as a naturalist, explorer, author, and soldier are as much a part of his legacy as any office held as a politician. Visit with the 26th president, as portrayed by Fred Rutledge. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for members and seniors and $3 for students and teachers with ID. Call 931-4848.

This past summer we were in North Dakota and visited the Teddy Roosevelt National Park, Southern Division. We also took in the Show at Medora, ND, which is a fantastic depiction of TD's life. The show runs from early June thru mid September, every night, weather permitting. It is an outdoor theater with horses and other great scene designs. The only downside is that the accommodations are limited . Reservations are strongly suggested. Fortunately, we were visiting our son so we didn't have that problem. But, the show does sell out occasionally. A must see. if you are in the area...
