Green Scene Fair set for Oct. 6 in Hacienda Business Park

Event will feature more than 100 exhibitors specializing in green practices

The city of Pleasanton and the Hacienda Business Park will present the second annual Green Scene Fair on Oct. 6 with demonstrations and advice on demonstrations and information on energy and water conservation and green building materials.

The fair will be eld from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the CarrAmerica Conference Center, 4400 Rosewood Drive.

Laura Ryan, Pleasanton's energy and sustainability manager, said the fair will feature more than 100 exhibitors specializing in green practices, products and services.

Exhibitors will provide demonstrations and information on green building materials, landscape design, solar power and energy efficient products, waste reduction and recycling, water conservation, commute and transportation options, financial programs and incentives, and more.

A treasure hunt and raffle of green-related prizes will contribute to the fun of the event, which will also feature a display of fuel efficient vehicles. A mini-farmers market and sustainably produced food will also be available for purchase.

Why is this event in the middle of the week AND in the middle of the day? What about those of us who want to attend but have to work?

Green fan, it's in the middle of the week and mid day to accommodate the laid off folks from Solyndra.
Go green, that's where the jobs are......lol
