A 33-year-old man from Londonderry, N.H., was arrested Tuesday on theft and drug charges in a shoplifting at Macys Men’s store, a police report said.
Jason Cameron Reid was arrested after piling six Northface jackets, three Northface hoodies and two Lacoste shirts, valued at a total of $1,285, near the entrance, then grabbing the pile and leaving, the report said. Reid was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia in a search after he was arrested, according to the report, which said the incident occurred around 6:47 p.m.
In other police reports:
A custom-made ring with a large emerald and two large diamonds valued at $5,000 was stolen from a home in the 5900 block of Via del Cielo. Also taken were a $300 gold nugget pendant and $150 gold nugget earrings. The theft took place between 8 a.m. July 12 and 5 p.m. July 15, but was reported Aug. 10. Police could not determine how the break-in occurred.
A burglary at a home in the 4300 block of Ruby Hill yielded a $100 hard drive but also gave the burglar keys to the home and a Jaguar. The break-in took place between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 10.

That man from Londonderry, NH has lost his yankee values. We do not raise thieves up here. Shame on you Jason. You have embarrassed your hometown.
In true Tea Party fashion, I suggest an immediate over-reaction to this. Pleasanton police should immediately cordone off the town and turn away all visitors driving vehicles with New Hampshire plates.

Why post this one shoplifting story when there are many shoplifters at the mall? Do you ever read the police log? Full of robberies, burglaries and thefts in Pleasanton. What’s happening to such a nice city?

You haven’t been listening to Michele Bachmann warn us about the growing military might of the Soviet Union? IT DOESN’T HAVE TO MAKE SENSE! In fact, the less sense something makes, the more likely the Tea Partiers are to embrace it.
