A local anti-tax display of the national TEA (Taxed Enough Already) party movement is planned from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Amador Valley Community Park at Santa Rita Road and Black Avenue.
With the recent sales tax increase and the parcel tax initiative Measure G on the June 2 ballot, organizers are expecting as many as 1,000 people to attend.
Protesters will listen to speakers, send "tea bags" to elected representatives and target Congressman Jerry McNerney (D-Pleasanton), along with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-California).
