Pleasanton Unified School District announced it will meet Thursday, in addition to the public hearing Wednesday, to vote on a parcel tax. Both meetings will be held at Amador Valley High School's multipurpose room.
Alameda County pushed back the deadline to submit ballot information for the May 19 or June 2 ballot to Friday, March 6, giving PUSD an extra day to prepare. The county is said to have changed the deadline to possibly consolidate an approved local initiative with the May 19
Wednesday's meeting is a public hearing, scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. There would be no action items at this meeting.
Thursday's meeting is scheduled at 6 p.m. and will include the final vote on whether to put a parcel tax on the ballot. Also included in Thursday's agenda will be the possibility of cutting more from the school's budget and additional personnel reductions.
The multipurpose room is located near the Del Valle Parkway entrance to the school. To obtain information on the school budget, visit the district's website.
The broadcast would not be televised live. Instead, it would be webcast and recorded to be aired at a later time.
