Pleasanton police were notified of two robberies in the early hours of the morning. One incident led to an arrest, while the other female suspects are still wanted.
Around 6 a.m. in the Home Depot parking lot on Johnson Drive, police said two women allegedly took a 64-year-old San Ramon man's arms and pressed a hard object into his back, which he believed to be a gun. The women reportedly made off with his wallet and car keys, and the victim said he saw them drive away in his orange 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt.
A robbery in the BART parking lot on Owens Drive was reported around the same time. The suspect was said to be driving an older model gold Cadillac.
An officer patrolling the area reportedly saw the Cadillac followed by the Chevrolet turning from Owens Drive onto Hopyard Road. Police said the Cadillac proceeded to get on westbound Interstate 580, while the Chevrolet, which was not reported stolen at the time, headed on eastbound I-580.
Police then pulled over the Cadillac and arrested an unidentified man for the robbery at the BART station. Police have yet to release further details on this incident.
The two female suspects are described as black, ages 18 to 20. One woman was about 5 feet, six inches with a medium build, wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. The other woman was approximately 5 feet, 10 inches, with a slender build, wearing a dark jacket and dark pants.
The license plate of the stolen Cobalt is 5XWY741.
