PTA Council donates series of education films

The Pleasanton PTA Council has donated sets of a sun safety video to all elementary and middle schools in Pleasanton, promoting awareness about the dangers of excessive sun exposure. The video, titled "The Sun Show," was developed by the California Department of Health and is geared to students in grades 1-3.

PTA Council purchased a copy for each grade level at all nine elementary schools and three middle schools with a grant from the City of Pleasanton's Human Resources Commission.

Additional copies of the video are available to the public at the Pleasanton Public Library and will be shown on TV 30. Community youth groups can contact the PTA Council to acquire copies for their own use. Call Debbie Look at 846-3257 or e-mail at look49@comcast.net. -Rebecca Guyon
