(October 14, 2005) Giving Thanks Charity Ball
Tickets are on sale now for the Eighth Ruby Hill Giving Thanks Charity Ball which will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton. The theme is A Roman Holiday.
This year's event will include a gourmet feast in the tradition of old Rome, which will be paired with Livermore Valley Wines, as well as fine Italian wines. Money raised at this year's Charity Ball will go to four local organizations whose efforts help local families and children. Tickets are $350 each and available by calling Iggy Monahelis at (925) 413-4774.
Trick-or-treat at Stoneridge Mall
Stoneridge Mall is opening its doors for costumed trick-or-treaters 12 years old and younger from 6-7:30 p.m. Halloween night. This is the 20th year Stoneridge Mall has held this event that includes a costume contest and photo packages. The photo center will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25 and run until Halloween day. Holiday Home Tour date set
A Holiday Home Tour of six Pleasanton homes will take place Nov. 5. The Rose Hotel will also be included on the tour. Homes will include three Victorians and three remodels. All will be decked out in holiday decor.
The tour will begin at the Rose Hotel, 807 Main St., where the Assistance League of Amador Valley will provide cookies and cider. Tour tickets can be purchased at Towne Center Books, Studio 7, the Rose Hotel, Clover Creek and California Stampin;, as well as Proctor's Custom Framing in Livermore.
Tickets are $20 in advance and, if not sold out, $25 the day of the event. Funds raised will be used for children's school clothing and shoes, books, recreation for the elderly, support for school-age parents, Vision screening for preschoolers, Assault Care Kits for victims in the Tri-valley area and more.
