(September 09, 2005) Are you prepared for a local disaster?
Asked at the Del Prado Cabana Club.
Steve Glenn
Corte Elena
Yes, we are prepared for an earthquake. We probably keep about three gallons of water per person and extra food.
David Martin
Corte Ponderosa
I think we are prepared for a minimal disaster, but not on the same magnitude of what just happened in New Orleans.
Carolynn Machi
Corte De Flores
Actually not, and it's sad to say that, because I remember in the 1989 earthquake, we had to go out to the car to listen to the radio to find out what was going on. It is a wake up call and we need to get prepared.
Carol Brachna
Paseo Santa Maria
We are prepared for an earthquake. We have boxes filled with water, food supplies, blankets and first aid kits. We have kits in the car, too.
Janet Gates
Via San Blas
We are probably not prepared enough. We do have water and canned food stored, but we haven't made a big plan with our neighbors.
