The Charlie Daniels Band is June 24 entertainment

The Alameda County Fair starts one week from today on June 24 and runs through July 10.

Fair hours are:

11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday

10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday

10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on July 4, and there won't be any fireworks at the fairgrounds.

Carnival hours are:

Noon to midnight Monday through Thursday

11 a.m. to midnight Friday through Sunday

11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on July 4

Various entertainment will be available free to fairgoers with the price of admission. Shows are at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Here's this year's lineup:
