Amador Theater to host Spring ballet
(May 27, 2005) Peasanton dancer is featured performer
Tri-valley dancers of all ages will participate in "Spring Performance 2005," May 27 and 28 at the Amador Theater, presented by the Danville Ballet Company. More than 50 performers will interpret the second act Dream Sequence from the full-length ballet, Don Quixote, as well as a two-act version of the light-hearted Coppelia.
A featured performer is Pleasanton's Emily Astbury. She dances a solo in the second act, the famous "vision" sequence from the Don Quixote ballet. It is Quixote's vision about finding and falling in love with the ideal woman (Dulcinea).
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. on May 27. Performances will resume May 28 at 2 p.m. with an evening performance at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from the Civic Arts Box Office, 1155 Santa Rita Road, Pleasanton, (925) 931-3444.
