(March 18, 2005) Science Fun Fair returns to Fairgrounds
Science projects by Pleasanton's K-5 students will be featured at the Alameda County Fairgrounds on Wednesday evening, March 23, as part of the Science Fun Fair. Students will show their projects and have the opportunity to take part in an interactive exhibit sponsored by members of Pleasanton's scientific community.
The event starts March 22 when students display their science projects at their school sites and are interviewed by a member of the community. All students receive a button, ribbon and personalized certificate for participating in the non-competitive event.
In preparation for the fair, school wide assemblies were held at each elementary school and every student received a booklet providing information on how to prepare a science project.
It is expected that the Science Fun Fair will be attended by more than 14,000 students and their families.
