Colleges sign local soccer players
(February 11, 2005) Pleasanton girls soccer will be well-represented in the fall at universities from New England to San Diego. Amador's Laura Adams will play at St. Joseph's in Philadelphia, while Caitlin MacDonald is headed to Dartmouth in Hanover, N.H. Keely Spillane has committed to UC Davis and Jen Mello is off to San Diego State.
The Foothill varsity girls soccer team announced that two of their players have signed with colleges as well. Nkechi Kanu will play for UC Berkeley, and Erin Wylie will play for Harvard.
All the girls play for the Pleasanton Rage Soccer Club.
The Dons boys varsity soccer team announced last week that three of its players will continue their soccer careers at the college level. Kyle Schlumpf will play for the University of San Francisco, Andrew Gangnuss for California State University at Sacramento, and Joel Crompton for UC Riverside.
