Jewish comedian to entertain at Beth Emek
(February 11, 2005) Nine years in a Jewish day school. Serving in the Israel Defense Forces. Summer camp and family Sabbath dinners.
Joel Chasnoff draws on all these experiences to earn his rating as one of America's premier performers of Jewish stand-up comedy. He will inaugurate Club 3400 at the new Congregation Beth Emek, 3400 Nevada Court in Pleasanton next weekend. His appearance is part of a year-long celebration of the new synagogue, which moved from Livermore to its new facility in August.
Chasnoff has performed around the world - from New York to Tokyo to Jerusalem - for audiences that enjoy his insights and twists of logic. At the foundation of his humor is a sincere love of Judaism that comes through in his performances, say reviewers. To find out more about Joel Chasnoff, visit www.joelchasnoff.com.
