Pleasanton Partnerships In Education (PPIE) Foundation is hosting a "Culinary Corporate and Community Salute" recognition event tomorrow evening at the Pleasanton Senior Center.

The venue will be transformed to assume the ambiance of a Tuscan piazza, said organizers. Fifteen-20 culinary teams, each consisting of a corporate/community sponsor, a school principal or school district representative, and a Bay Area chef, will compete to create fabulous food for guests and judges to sample.

Tickets are $60. Call PPIE at 846-5620 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.

PPIE is a community-based organization, formed to enhance learning experiences for students of the Pleasanton Unified School District through a partnership of business, education and the community.
