Foothill High seniors Mikel Stevens and Kevin O'Brien were key players for Santa Clara Valley Blackhawks Midget A ice hockey team, which finished its season ranked No. 1 in the state, winning the Western Regional Silver Stick Championship in Texas, the Northern California Championship and California State Championship. Registration is under way for the Pleasanton Lacrosse league for boys and girls, grades 3-12, with all games and practices held at Hart Middle School, 4433 Willow Road.
