New director for downtown business association
(April 02, 2004) Christine Salidivar, who has more than 10 years of business organizational management experience, will start her new duties as Executive Director of the Pleasanton Downtown Association on Monday. Salidivar, 41, is a Navy veteran who served in director positions at Chambers of Commerce in Lakeport, Oroville and Union City, before establishing a consulting business in Fresno. In both the military and civilian jobs, she headed marketing and planning efforts and events, working with local and regional businesses.
"We are fortunate to attract a seasoned professional with the breadth of experience that Christine Salidivar brings," said Peter MacDonald, president of the PDA board of directors. "She is the right person to build upon the foundation and success of the PDA and to lead the organization in the years to come." She succeeds Pamela Stoddard Ott, who left the post last year to become Manager of Business Development for the city of Pleasanton.
