(January 16, 2004) Honors for Wooldridge
Pleasanton Seahawk Andy Wooldridge received top honors for 10 and under boys at the annual awards banquet held recently by Pacific Swimming in Napa Valley. Wooldridge was recognized for his results in the 25-yard and 50-meter seasons and his contribution to Pacific Swimming's second-place finish at the Western Zone Championships held in Tempe, Ariz., last summer.
Black Hawks advance
The Ballistic Black Hawks, U12 Class 3 soccer, won the preliminary round of the State Association Cup, beating Mill Valley United 3-0. Top offensive players were Nik Thompson, Mike Lambrecht and Kyle West; top defense, Jean-Luc Masri, Kevin Shadd and Ross Porter.
Cup play continues Jan. 24-25 in Sacramento, with semi-finals and finals the weekend of Jan. 31-Feb. 1 at Robertson Park in Livermore.
