Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Asked at Stoneridge Shopping Center

Susan Bovee
Valley Avenue
No. I come from a village, even smaller than Pleasanton, in north Minnesota, called McIntosh. If you recycled a gift you would live in infamy.

My grandmother gave me a blue fluzzy pillow that was the most horrible thing I'd ever seen. It was blue and fuzzy and sparkly - and I'm almost 20 years old. The girl I babysit for, she's 9, saw it and loved it so I said, "Here!"

Bill Lovell
Corte Sonora
Yes, I have. At work we had a gift exchange by draw. The thing they gave me was lotions. One of the ladies at work got coffee mugs and she doesn't drink coffee, so we did our own gift exchange after the fact. Both of the presents still had parts of the wrapping paper on.

We recycled a wedding gift. It was an egg platter, in the shape of a chicken with little dips for deviled eggs. I gave it to the mother of a friend of ours for her birthday. My husband's sister gave it to us, but that was 15 years ago and I just gave it away.

Brenda Rose
Regency Drive
No, I've always been given gifts that I really like, probably because I drop big hints. But I wouldn't mind at all if people recycled my gifts.
