First Street pedestrians are walking through a sea of leaves this week as fall has finally arrived in Pleasanton, just in time for the holidays. Now that the rainy season has begun, look out for crews of city workers. They constantly monitor the storm drains during storms as a first line of defense against flooding. The city's sewer division operates three storm drain pump stations, which pump storm water from the low areas around underpasses and discharge it to the local storm drain channels.
