(May 10, 2002) H. Dorothy O'Connell
H. Dorothy O'Connell, a 40-year Pleasanton resident, died April 30. She was 86.
Born on Jan. 1, 1916, in Providence, R.I., she was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Norman H. O'Connell; a son, Mark O'Connell of Atlanta; two daughters, Catherine Terry of Alamo and Carolyn Matthews of Lutz, Fla.; one brother; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass was celebrated at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church and burial is at St. Michael's Cemetery in Livermore.
Patricia Ching Schreiber
Patricia Ching Schreiber, a 34-year Pleasanton resident, died May 1. She was 70.
Born on Aug. 7, 1931, in Mobile, Ala., she was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing games, crocheting, gardening, singing and feeding the birds.
She is survived by her sons, Scott Schreiber of Tracy and David Carl Schreiber of Concord; daughters, Terry Camarata of Honolulu, Lisa Parker of Tracy and Karen White of Pleasanton; three step-sisters and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death in March 2001 by her husband, Otto H. Schreiber, and in 1992 by her son Cliff Schreiber.
A Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine Catholic Church and burial is at St. Augustine's Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 330 Distel Circle, Suite A, Los Altos, CA 94022.
Nancy Berkley
Nancy Berkley, a 31-year resident of Pleasanton, died May 3. She was 72.
Born in California on Nov. 12, 1929, she owned the Toy Box Store in Pleasanton for six years. She also worked at ViaCom Cable and was a volunteer at Valley Memorial Hospital for nine years.
She is survived by a daughter, Theresa Berkley of Pleasanton; two sons, Tim Berkley and Steve Berkley, both of Pleasanton; and three grandchildren.
Services were held at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, Hayward.
