John Michael Elward

John Michael Elward, a resident of Dublin and formerly a 12-year resident of Pleasanton, died April 17 at the age of 50.

A 12-year employee with Toshoh S.E.C., he loved all of the people he worked with.

He leaves his wife of 22 years, Raenelle Elward; sons Michael Elward of Pleasanton, and J. Marcus Lindhurst of Dublin; daughter Jennifer Elward of Dublin; mother Dorothy Elward of Fremont; in-laws Mr. And Mrs. Henry Lindhurst of Pleasanton; brothers Lee Elward of Mitchell, S.D., Steve Elward of Minneapolis, Minn., and Scott Elward of Newark, Calif.; and sister Diane Elward of Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Elward.

A memorial service was held April 25 at Graham-Hitch Mortuary in Pleasanton.

Robert Michael Bobsky, a Pleasanton resident for 25 years and a native of Pennsylvania, died April 16 at the age of 75.

He was an airline mechanic for American Airlines for 25 years, and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1947 to 1955. He enjoyed music, model building, and being a professional grandfather.

He leaves his wife of 39 years, Lee Bobsky; sons Mark Bohlin of Tampa, Fla., Michael Bobsky of Livermore, Patrick Bobsky of Pleasanton, and Anthony Bobsky of Pleasanton; daughters Jeanette Bohlin of Ukiah, Susan Faulkner of Sacramento, Sally Rodriguez of Brentwood, and Jackie Jonnes of Oaklahoma; brothers Charles Bobsky of Ohio, and John Bobsky of Pennsylvania; sisters Dorothy Bobsky of Pennsylvania, and Patty Wadlinger of Pennsylvania; and 14 grandchildren.

A visitation was held April 25 at Callaghan Mortuary in Livermore, and a service was held the following day at the same location.

The family asks that memorial donations be made in the memory of Robert Bobsky to the charity of choice. Ramona Maria Baca

Ramona Maria Baca, a Pleasanton resident, died from cancer in her home April 18. She was 60.

A native of San Francisco, she was retired three years after operating the business Branching Out for 27 years. The family sold the business in 1998. She was a member of Living Beyond Limits, a cancer support group, and greatly enjoyed the San Francisco Flower Market, water skiing, scuba diving, gardening and her grandchildren.

She leaves her husband of 43 years, Paul Baca; son Jeff Baca of San Jose; daughter Shelly Elkins of Pleasanton; mother Helen Flores of Roseville.

A memorial service was held April 26 at Graham-Hitch Mortuary in Pleasanton.

The family asks that memorial gifts be sent to the American Cancer Society, 7000 Village Parkway, Suite L, Dublin, CA 94568.

Marjorie Shellman Marjorie Shellman, a native of Tipton, England, and a Pleasanton resident for five years, died April 19 at the age of 88.

She was a retired junior high school teacher with the Los Angeles School District, where she taught for 30 years.

She leaves sons Guy Shellman of San Jose, and Richard Shellman of Sebastopol; daughter Elizabeth Hover of Pleasanton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A service was held April 21 at Valley Community Church in Pleasanton.

The family asks that memorial gifts be sent to the American Heart Association, 11200 Golf Links Road, Oakland, CA 94605. Norman E. Bradley

Norman E. Bradley, a six-year resident of Pleasanton and native of Denver, Colo., died April 23 while playing softball at the Pleasanton Sports Park. He was 41.

Bradley was an aircraft technician for United Airlines. He was also a member of St. Clare's Episcopal Church in Pleasanton, and was active in YMCA's Indian Princesses with his daughter Hayley.

He leaves his wife of seven years, Charlotte Bradley; 4-year-old son Dustin James Bradley of Pleasanton; 6-year-old daughter Hayley Sage Bradley of Pleasanton; and sister Belinda Bradley of Denver.

A memorial service was held April 27 at St. Clare's Episcopal Church in Pleasanton, and the burial is at Green Lawn Cemetery in Bakersfield.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Norman E. Bradley Children's Trust at Valley Community Bank, 465 Main St., Pleasanton, CA 94566. Jonathan Michael Macor

Jonathan Michael Macor, a Pleasanton resident and native of Livermore, died April 24 at the age of 21.

Macor, who was in the process of transferring to San Diego State University leaves his parents Michael Macor of Pleasanton and Kimberly Blum of Montgomery, Texas; brothers Timothy Macor of Pleasanton, Matthew Macor of Pleasanton, Taylor Blum of Tomball, Texas, and Landon Blum of Tomball, Texas; sisters Katelyn Blum of Montgomery, Texas, and Mallory Houston of Pleasanton.

A funeral service was held April 27 at Pleasanton Presbyterian Community Church in Pleasanton. The burial is at Pleasanton Memorial Gardens in Pleasanton. Judy Bullis

Judy Bullis, a resident of Pleasanton since 1973, died from cancer April 27. She was 56.

Bullis began her career as an escrow secretary and progressed to escrow officer then to office manager. In 1982 she began working at the start-up Pleasanton regional office of Farmers Insurance where she worked until her retirement in 1999. While at Farmers Insurance she was named outstanding employee of the year. Bullis was also a very active member of the Catholic Community of Pleasanton, and was involved in the Assistance League and with Tri-Valley Animal Rescue.

Her hobbies included walks on the beach, annual family getaways and the movies (where popcorn and cola were a must).

She leaves her husband of 35 years, Tom Bullis; son David; daughter Shelley; brother Ron; and sisters Beverly and Vicky.

A Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Pleasanton. A reception will follow at the family's home.
