California Youth Chinese Symphony at Pleasanton Library
The Pleasanton Public Library will host a free concert by the California Youth Chinese Symphony at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 25. With more than 100 students in its programs and led by Chinese music professionals, this program promotes musical diversity and cultural enrichment. Del Valle Fine Arts: Duo Rendezvous
Two of Canada's leading performers, violinist Jasper Wood and guitarist Daniel Bolshoy, will play Bach's "Suite in A Major," Paganini's "Sonata Concertata," Ravel's "Pièce en forme de Habanera" and more at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 2 at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore. The LAB Choir is a small, mixed ensemble made up of young singers trained and mentored by Chanticleer, the world-famous, award-winning San Francisco choral group.
